A New Year's Message from the Armchair Genealogist

Setting Genealogy Goals

With 2009 officially behind us, it is time to look forward. I am very big on goal setting and January 1 is the perfect time to re-evaluate your goals. Your genealogy goals are no exception. Everyone’s genealogy goals are very individual and without a plan in place, you may find yourself floundering. If you want to make some specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely genealogy goals for 2010 then I encourage you to pick the January issue of Family Chronicle and read my article, Setting S.M.A.R.T Genealogy Goals for 2010. In this article, I walk you through the process of setting up your genealogy goals for this coming year.

Thank You

I also want to take this opportunity to thank all my readers and fellow bloggers for helping me put The Armchair Genealogist on the map this past year. It has been an educational journey and I look forward to exciting new opportunities this upcoming year.

What’s Next?

This coming year my blogging goal is to bring more valuable, relevant and timely content to my readers. The Armchair Genealogist‘s focus in 2010 will focus specifically on writing a family history book. I will be offering plenty of information for those struggling with this overwhelming task.

As well this coming year, I will also be focusing on Irish History, Canadian Genealogy and online genealogy learning. I encourage all fellow armchair genealogists to keep stopping by on their genealogy journeys.

The Armchair Genealogist will be back to regular posts on Monday Jan 4th, until then enjoy your first weekend of 2010.
