Monday Morning Mentions

Monday Morning Mentions is an opportunity to reflect on the events of the week at the Armchair Genealogist and in the blogging and book community. Over my morning cappuccino, I will take the opportunity to share with you some of my favourite blogs posts this week and give a nod to my peers.

You can also find me on Facebook. Stop by and leave a message. I often will link some great finds there as well. You can also follow me on twitter at @LynnPal or my twitter paperThe Armchair Genealogist Journal.

At the Armchair Genealogist this week, posts included the following:
Scrivener- A Book Review and a Contest

I've been spending the weekend in Denver, Colorado and enjoying my first visit to this beautiful area of the country. Tonight, I'm looking forward to the Bruce Springsteen Concert and will be returning to Canada tomorrow evening.

For that reason I've been unable to put together this week's usual round-up of blog posts. However, I thought I would turn the tables this week.

It's Your Turn

In comments below share with everyone that one blog post that resonated with you this week. It could be a genealogy blog, a writing blog, a social media blog, or it could be a book. Share and link the post in the comments below so we can all enjoy the post.

Please try to refrain from putting up your own links. In the spirit of the upcoming American Thanksgiving let's shine the light on someone else.

  1. Lynn, funny you should turn the tables this week and ask for suggestions for best reads. I saw a couple ProBlogger articles and had been thinking of sending to them...but didn't. I had no idea!

I've shortened these links (and I'm not sure whether they'll be hyperlinked--I have an anti-geeky tendency). Both are from ProBlogger this past week.

The first is on the impact of utilizing effective story-telling: http://bit.ly/UPq0Ox

The second--I really loved this one!--is about intersecting your passion with your readers' "pressing needs" to find your blogging voice: http://bit.ly/T62aZz

    Enjoy!
