This week's mentions include: Internet Genealogy – a great genealogy or internet tip that will benefit any armchair genealogist.

Thomas at Geneabloggers shared with the community a new website that could just be the tool your looking for to aid your genealogy research. In his post uencounter.me - A Way to Plot Cluster Genealogy Research, Thomas combines mapping in a very social atmosphere and cluster genealogy to shed some light on his genealogy research. It certainly caught my attention. Check it out.

Yourstorycoach.com brings us a thought provoking post this week by of Where are Your Houses of Memory? Tami Koenig certainly made me think about how the houses I lived in and recording the information about those homes may be beneficial for my story and future generations.

How Google Images can help you research your family history like never before by Piers Dillon Scott at The Sociable. Piers shows us how we can take our family history photos and match them in Google's search index to help recognize locations in our family photo collection. Cool eh!

Writing Family History - great advice or information on writing your family history.

This week I read a very moving story by Cathy at Cathy's Genealogy Blog. Cathy made a brave move and shared her very personal family history journey in her post Surname Saturday - Huffman. Cathy shared the results of her research and her hope for things to come. Another beautiful example of how telling your story can be enlightening and cathartic for both the writer and the reader. Thanks Cathy.

Joanna Penn at The Creative Penn shares a post this week entitled 10 Things the Olympics Can Teach Writers. I was impressed as how she was able to relate some great points to the Olympics.

This week meet Katie at Fun with Family History, A Place for Ancestors to Come and Mingle. Katie has a master's degree in history and found family history a nice fit with her first love. At Fun with Family History, Katie plans on sharing her family history as she discovers it and help the beginner genealogist along the way. Welcome aboard Katie.

Social Media for the Genealogist - this will include social media advice and learning opportunities from experts both inside and outside of the genealogy industry.

Think Traffic this week shared 21 Quick Actions You Can Do Today to Set Up Your Blog for Massive Success. Most items on the list take less than 30 minutes to accomplish.

This week I stumbled on a blog new to me. Six Pixels of Separation is a website centered around digital marketing. In this post Digital Storytelling, author Mitch Joel shares a great video that depicts how storytelling is the new social media. This is certainly not new information but still remains very relevant, I also thought the list of 15 books that can aid you in creating a great story was impressive and worth sharing.

Books that Move and Matter - each week we will feature an ebook or print book with the family historian in mind. It may come as a great source of information, for research or writing or playing to our historical interests, or may just be a great read I think genealogists will love.

This week, one of my favourite bloggers, Jeff Goins released his first book Wrecked: When a Broken World Slams into your Comfortable Life. I'm eager to read it because I'm sure it will push me to move beyond myself. I have often shared links to some of Jeff's post that have moved or inspired me during the week, so I'm comfortable in recommending this book, I have no doubt Jeff's book will be inspirational.
