I will be away for the next 10 days, traveling to Paris, France with my husband Andy, were celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary. This is us 25 years ago. Where has the time gone? Two beautiful daughters later, and 25 years of memories were adding to them with a week in France. Although my ancestry is deeply rooted in France, particularly Paris and Normandy, my time will be dedicated to my husband and taking in the sights of both these historical areas. No time to spend spinning microfilms, however, I will be learning about my ancestors by soaking in the culture and history of my ancestral towns. I won't be posting during this time, I hope you don't mind, I'm sure you'll understand. If time permits, I will post an occasional picture to Facebook. Until my return, I've got some articles from the archives lined up for you this week. Hope everyone has a great week while I create some memories instead of blog posts.

ReplyDeleteWe will be in Paris on 14 May cruising on the Seine in the afternoon.
Linda and I went to Tahiti for our 25th anniversary in 1995.
Have a wonderful time! And Happy Anniversary!!
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, have a great time. You deserve a break!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary!!! That takes some self-control to go all that way and not research! But I know when we take trips (just the two of us, the kids are grown), my husband doesn't care to participate in research and gets restless if I do. So...ENJOY!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary! Have a great time making new memories.
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary! Have a great trip!
ReplyDeleteLynn, when I saw the title to today's post in my reader, I thought, "What excellent advice for genealogy bloggers," and hurried to take a peak. I was looking forward to seeing what you'd say on the topic.
ReplyDeleteBut this is even better! Congratulations to the both of you, and may you have a wonderful time filling your life with more precious memories!
Of course, I'd still like to read more of your thoughts on transforming genea posts into memory-infused writing! ...but later!
Make the memories and save them for posterity!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone for your well wishes, I'm sitting in the airport waiting for our flight. Jacqui. You are so right I thought the same thing, I'll work on that when I return.
